Kiana & her horse Quest Forelegance (Ellie) were the High Point Champions of the Open Division in this year's 60 mile Challenge of the North ride in Two Rivers, Alaska. This was the first time riding in the Open Division for both Kiana and Ellie and together they were an unbeatable team of the 45 horse and rider teams. So I guess the Sweepstakes trophy will stay in the Hamlin household for another year! Congratulations Kiana!

Our long awaited foal has finally arrived. We were blessed with a little black and white filly Monday, May 18th at 2:15 am. Both mare and filly are doing well. At 3 days old she is already running around and getting herself into mischief. She has escaped twice and introduced herself to the rest of the herd. Our gelding, Splash, has already been deemed her favorite next to mom. :-)
Give us a call to arrange a time to stop by to meet her!
We are very lucky to be adding two very fine, registered Pintabians to our Ranch. Thank you Tracey at OakRidge Ranch! Our mare, Quest For Elegance, is a lovely tricolor Pintabian. Her foal, Royal Thunder is a black and white colt, born in May 2008.
So what is a Pintabian?... if you don't know... click here!
Check out them out in the Photo Gallery!

Aspen Ridge Ranch is a family owned ranch just off of Chena Hot Springs Road on the south facing slopes of the Chena Hills above Fairbanks. We have 10 beautiful acres of mixed birch and aspen with adjacent riding trails and rolling open hay fields. The ranch is a work in progress. We have a 70' x 160' riding arena 60' round pen for training and lots of pasture area. We are an active competitive riding family. We compete in the local sanctioned horse shows as well as NATRC endurance trail rides. We offer private riding lessons for riders of all ages, leases to select riders, as well as summer day camps for kids. For more information see links above.
We have some beautiful views of sunsets from our back deck at the ranch.
Harvest time at the ranch is a fun time of year.
A hay ride is a fun way to spend a fall afternoon!
We are located approximately 4 miles northeast of Fairbanks, Alaska in the gently rolling Chena Hills. Surrounding our ranch are endless trails and open fields for riding to your heart's content. Our family enjoys the beauty of the Alaskan outdoors both in summer and winter. In summer, we enjoy riding the trails surrounding our ranch on horseback and in winter, we spend most of our time cross country skiing. This is the view of the Alaska Range taken from the hilltop above our ranch.
